Symptoms of Adult Diabetes, Want to Get Rid of Them?

Symptoms of adult diabetes? Do you know what they are? Do you have them? How do you get rid of them? All these questions will be answered by this web page. When you or a loved one has diabetes, you have to think of this part of life that others do not pay attention to.

Let's take them one at a time, although other pages of this website has done some discussion on this. The first one is on the symptoms of adult diabetes. The following are the main ones but there are others and I will refer them to you later. The symptoms are:

  • frequent thirst
  • blurry vision
  • frequent need to urinate
  • unexplained fatigue

Now that you have refreshed your mind about these symptoms of adult diabetes, do you think you have them? Now do not be like me; sometimes I think I have all the diseases in the planet after just reading the symptoms. Ha! I got you there, didn't I?

The best way to find out if you're not just being misled by the above symptoms of adult diabetes and your mind not playing tricks on you is to get to a doctor to get tested for diabetes. The earlier this is out of the way the better it is all around. Why? Because then we can start with strategies to fight the darn thing.

Even the doctors themselves cannot be sure you have diabetes just based on the symptoms of adult diabetes. They need to be certain by testing which is the only way to find out for sure. Heck, even if you do not have diabetes, if you are at risk to develop it, it is best to be tested and I will tell you why in a second.

Okay, a second is up and here's why you have to get yourself tested if you are at risk and this is the scary part but not so if you do what should be done. Get tested if you are at risk. Please, don't let me twist your arm, okay? I am really so passionate about this. I want everyone at risk to get tested whether he has the symptoms of adult diabetes or not.

How do you know if you are at risk? Good question, I thought you'd never ask. If you have a few of the items below, please get yourself tested for diabetes because sometimes those symptoms of adult diabetes do not show up until later. Here are the risk factors:

  • Overweight or obese
  • 45 years old and over
  • family history of diabetes
  • women who had gestational diabetes and gave birth to a baby who is 9 pounds or more
  • Pacific Islander, Asian American, Hispanics or American Indian
  • Blood pressure is 140/90 or higher
  • High cholesterol
  • Glucose level higher than normal

Now let's tackle the question on how to get rid of these. Change the lifestyle to a healthier one of eating right and moving more. Also if medications are prescribed, please take them. I know of quite a few people who got rid of diabetes by just doing the ones I just mentioned.

Well, actually, you will not totally get rid of diabetes, the symptoms of adult diabetes, yes, but the condition will be there, but have no fear for I am here. I have waged a war against diabetes. No, I am not President Bush. Nor do I have the backing of a government but I have this website from which I can continue my fight against diabetes. Would you join me?

One can have a healthy and happy life even with diabetes. Here’s how:

  • Learn as much as you can about diabetes.
  • Accept that you have the condition.
  • Surround yourself with a health care team of a doctor, diabetes educator, dietitian and other specialists all of whom should be caring people.
  • Keep your glucose under control to avoid complications.
  • Know that you can beat this condition with the help of your team and all you are doing.
  • Be up-to-date with all information.
  • Get to know yourself more so you will be able to see if your moods and the way you feel are related to the glucose level.
