Before you read this, remember, as good as the news is from the health care reform, we should not let up on our effort to manage diabetes. The important thing is to stay healthy. To do this, we have to be informed. Some people are struggling to do this because it is easy to forget what we have read. It is imperative therefore to have reminders from time to time.

So to do my good deed, I am going to offer a five-day mini course to remind you of some specific things that will help manage diabetes. You can be reminded exactly what to do from day to day and year to year on things we sorely need so we do not forget some essentials.

As a bonus, after the five-day mini course, you will get alerts and tips just in case there are new things you need to know. The most you will get is once a week and you can always unsubscribe anytime.

Those who are already subscribed to the alert and tips can unsubscribe so they will not receive it twice or delete one each time. There will be an unsubscribe button at the end of every mail you receive.

Health Care Reform is beyond doubt a historic legislation. H.R. 3692, Affordable Health Care for America Act is a strong bill passed despite all the oppositions. The organized campaign against its passage had lots of false information just to instill fear in people so they will voice their opposition.

But most of us know that the bill will benefit everyone. It will enable all Americans to access affordable high quality health care regardless of race and ethnic backgrounds. All over the United States, the poorest and disadvantaged will now receive the help they sorely need.

In the passage of the Health Care Reform, the government has shown they care. They passed the test of treating every American equally. Every child, elderly and those who are sick and needy are guaranteed to get the best of care. They have more choices of plans as well.

Those who have insurance are guaranteed that their health insurance cannot deny them coverage and care. Neither can they charge them more just because they are diabetics or have pre-existing condition like heart disease. This bill will also insure that you will not lose coverage if you become jobless, or if you change jobs or if you move.

No insurance companies can drop your coverage just because you become very sick. And preventive care is covered with no deductibles or co-pays. It will also limit what the insurance company can make you pay. Now all of these will give you peace of mind.

Now how about if you don't have insurance? You can shop for a high quality health plan that is affordable by comparing all the offerings. You will have lower premiums because the needy will get affordability credits and will be offered group rates even if they are applying for an individual plan.

Best of all, no insurance company can deny you coverage if you have pre-existing conditions like diabetes and heart disease. There is also an extension of coverage for the young Americans who can elect to stay on in their parents' health plan until they are 27 years old. Also the public health insurance can compete with those in the private sector.

The seniors are not forgotten either because the health care reform will improve their access to the doctor. The prices for the Medicare drug will be reduced by starting to close the coverage gap right away. There will be no more donut holes for the elderly.

In order for the Medicare to remain in the black, inefficiencies and the cost of programs will be reduced. This will lead to the benefits not to be cut. The quality of care for the seniors who have high blood pressure, diabetes and other chronic conditions will be increased.

This Health Care Reform is vital for millions of Americans who go bankrupt due to ill health or who lose years off their life because of lack of preventive care. And losing coverage when you need it most is just unacceptable. When you lose your job or you get sick, you could lose your health insurance too.

Now those issues are addressed. No one can pull the rug under you just because you got unemployed or got sick. You cannot be denied insurance or health care just because of an existing pre-condition. That is why I am so glad that this American battle cry was heard: Pass the Health Care Reform!
